I think that even_odd(num) is not meant to be modified (as it is already a complete function) but only be called in the code you write later. Try to solve the challenge without modifying the function. Also, I noticed that you called the function in your code without passing in a num argument, which is not valid. You can remove the start<6 condition because start is set to 5 and will only decrease afterwards.
