Code not working, confused as to why

The complier keeps telling me "Make sure you assign a UIColor instance representing blue color to the backgroundColor property of the back view on UIViewController"

colors.swift
class ViewController: UIViewController {

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        let blueColor = UIColor(red: 0/255.0, green: 0/255.0, blue: 255/255.0, alpha: 1.0)
        view.backgroundColor = blueColor
    }

    override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() {
        // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated
    }
}

Amar, you have all the right pieces, but (1) the challenge asked you to create a stored property -- so it must be in the class, not the function, and (2) it asked you to pass int values except for alpha. That said, it also gives spurious error messages. Try this instead:

class ViewController: UIViewController {
    let blueColor = UIColor(red: 0, green: 0, blue: 255, alpha: 1.0)  //a stored property -- in the class

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.
        view.backgroundColor = blueColor
    }

    override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() {
        // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated
    }
}

I had moved my code out of the function and it still did not work. But of course now it works.

Thanks for you help!
