Either I'm using KeyValuePair wrong, or I'm not supposed to use KeyValuePair at all. I'm not sure.

231,198 PointsThe Add method of a dictionary always takes two arguments.
The arguments are key, and value. It's not designed to take a single object that combines them.
But you could always pass the parts individually:
dictionary.Add(pair.Key, pair.Value);
Also, remember that your method returns a dictionary (not void).
