Closed captioning in 'Creating a media player with MediaElements.js' workshop The CC option is not displayed in either Chrome (Version 60.0.3112.78) or Safari (Version 10.1.1 (12603.2.4)).. It does however display in Firefox (54.0.1 (64-bit)).

MediaElements.js apparently supposed to display the same controls layout across all browsers - which it does not.

FYI There are no extensions enabled in chrome.

Hey Neil,

Thanks for the heads up. I launched the video and English captions were present for me. I'm using Chrome version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit), however. I'm guessing the beta Chrome build may have a negative impact on the CCs for at least this video, if not others.

If you revert to the current build and are still seeing this issue, please feel free to reach out to us in Support at help@teamtreehouse.com. Thanks!
