Clipping mask makes my Icon disappear

I'm currently Creating an Icon in the "additional shape tools" section & i'm at the end where we're suppose to do a clipping mask. The problem is my entire icon disappears. Please help, I have no clue how to fix this.

Hey Rhiannon Hood ,

  1. Make sure your icon is grouped together.
  2. Then make sure your mask object is on top of that grouped icon.
  3. Then select both and Create Clipping Mask.

when you create a clipping mask when the mask is underneath the icon, everything will disappear.
