Changing colors

Hi,

I'm operating on a Mac OSX 10.10.5. Does anyone know how to change the colors on the console/command line to make for easier reading?

I don't have access to a Mac at the moment (I need to buy another one) but back when I did (around Mavericks) I think that I remember that it could be customized via preferences.

Another alternative may be iTerm 2.

I have not used it since I became aware of it after losing my Mac, but I've heard a lot of Mac developers in tutorials that I watch say good things about it, and Wes Bos even has a whole series on youTube about customizing it called command line power user

Thanks for taking the time to share this info (and links) with me LaVaughn. I'm looking forward learning more about the console/command line and I figured that customizing the console interface would be a good way to get more comfortable with the console:-)

No problem. I miss using the console on a Mac. Hopefully I'll get to try iTerm in the next 6 months. Using the console on a PC is a bit frustrating, although I'm in a fairly comfortable position now with the one I have installed. Good luck!!
