It's unclear what's wrong with this code for Control Flow w/ Conditional Statements:
switch (key) { case "BEL", "BGR", "LIE": europeanCapitals += [value] case "IND", "VNM": asianCapitals += [value] default: otherCapitals += [value] }
var europeanCapitals: [String] = []
var asianCapitals: [String] = []
var otherCapitals: [String] = []
let world = [
"BEL": "Brussels",
"LIE": "Vaduz",
"BGR": "Sofia",
"USA": "Washington D.C.",
"MEX": "Mexico City",
"BRA": "Brasilia",
"IND": "New Delhi",
"VNM": "Hanoi"]
for (key, value) in world {
// Enter your code below
switch (key) {
case "BEL", "BGR", "LIE":
europeanCapitals += [value]
case "IND", "VNM":
asianCapitals += [value]
default:
otherCapitals += [value]
}
// End code
}

8,069 PointsYour code does get the same result as what is requested for the challenge however I don't think they are asking for you to do it that way. I used the append method and it worked for me.
theCapitals.append(value) // call the append method on each capital with the value as an argument
Your method seems to be to add an array with value as the only contents which works but like I said I don't think that is what they were looking for.
