Okay, I tried using a for loop first and that gives me error. Then I tried using indexOf method of strings and that gives me error as well. What's going wrong in these two codes?
public class ScrabblePlayer {
// A String representing all of the tiles that this player has
private String tiles;
public ScrabblePlayer() {
tiles = "";
}
public String getTiles() {
return tiles;
}
public void addTile(char tile) {
// TODO: Add the tile to tiles
tiles += tile;
}
public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
// TODO: Determine if user has the tile passed in
/* for (int i=0;i<tile.length();i++) {
if (tiles.charAt(i)==tile) {
return true;
}
}
return false;
}*/
return (tiles.indexOf(tile)!=-1);
}

3,680 PointsI have just wrote same code as you and it works perfectly fine. Try refreshing the page. Sometimes it needs refreshing to work.
return (tiles.indexOf(tile)!=-1); // This works fine
