You have to call a variable inside the .format() like so....
name = "jack"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

You need to pop the name variable into your format paremeter. Then your code would look like this.
name = "jack"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name) # name goes in here
