3,637 PointsCan't get the just_right challenge even though my code seems to work in an IDE
In the Just Right challenge, I was asked to do the following: "Create a new function named just_right that takes a single argument, a string. If the length of the string is less than five characters, return "Your string is too short". If the string is longer than five characters, return "Your string is too long". Otherwise, just return True."
I wrote the following code and I got "Bummer! Try again!" I tried it in a python IDE and it worked fine. Can someone tell me what I am missing?
def just_right(word): if (len(word)<5): print("Your string is too short.") elif (len(word)>5): print("Your string is too long.") else: print("True") just_right("Hello")
def just_right(word):
if (len(word)<5):
print("Your string is too short.")
elif (len(word)>5):
print("Your string is too long.")
else:
print("True")
just_right("Hello")

Here is what I did:
def just_right(iterable):
if len(iterable) < 5:
return "Your string is too short"
if len(iterable) > 5:
return "Your string is too long"
else:
return True

3,637 PointsThanks Jeremy. This stuff can be really frustrating when it's not clear if its a syntax error or a logic error.
