Hey, I'm getting stopped at the challenge here. I have been following up to this point but I'm stuck. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?
namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
class Polygon
{
public readonly int NumSides;
public Polygon(int numSides)
{
NumSides = numSides;
}
}
class Square : Polygon
{
Square(int sideLength) : base(4)
{
public readonly int SideLength = sideLength;
}
}
}

A couple of things.
First, declare SideLength
outside of the Square constructor. It needs to be accessible to all squares, as in Square.SideLength
Second, make the Square constructor public. If it is not public, you cannot instantiate it.
Third, continue to keep the assignment of SideLength
inside the Square constructor, but do not declare it there.
With these changes your code will work.
