1,525 PointsCan't copy objects from a source template into Sketch2
I am following the Mobile App Design for iOS project that Sarah Parmenter put together.
The issue I am having is: I am not able to successfully copy and paste an object from a source template file. In this case, a navigation bar object from Teehan + Lax ios7 template in Sketch 2 - as shown in the project video.
When I attempt to copy/paste the object from the source template to the target/new file in Sketch that I am working on, I just get an outline of the source object that gets pasted but none of the content inside this outline gets transferred. I can individually drag, say, the back button and other items separately to paste onto the target file but thats very time consuming.
I've just started using Sketch 2 so might be a setting that I am missing. Let me know how to copy the whole object including its content as shown in the video.
Thanks!

42,016 Pointsyou have to select all of the content by clicking and dragging and making a selection rectangle that covers the whole bar, then copy. You are most likely only selecting the background of the object. In order to get all of it you need to click and drag and make the rectangle selection, or shift click each object you want and then copy and paste

1,525 PointsExactly right, thank you! a typical copy/paste wasn't working - had to select the content by clicking and dragging which wasn't what was done in the video - in any case, this drag and select and then copy/paste works fine.
