Cant add "new Portfolio" item

I've added the two plugins, added the data to each as shown. My "Portfolio" post type is listed in the left hand-pane, but the listing under "portfolio" in the left hand navigation pane just says "add new".

Once selected it gives what appears to be a default input of title and textarea. I've watched and redone this video 3 times and can't seem to find the cause of the issue. What could be the cause of this?
