2,957 PointsCan you help me with this code?
PART 1. "I need you to help me finish my loopy function. Inside of the function, I need a for loop that prints each thing in items. def loopy(items): "
my code: def loopy(items): print(items)
The code worked!
PART 2. "Oops, I forgot that I need to break out of the loop when the current item is the string "STOP". Help me add that code!"
my code: def loopy(items) if items == "STOP": break loopy("STOP")
Can you help me with the solution? Thank you!
def loopy(items):
print(items)
def loopy(items):
of items == "STOP":
break
loopy("STOP")

- you should only have one "def" line
- the code has "of" but I think you intended "if"
- to end the loop without printing "STOP", the test and break must come before the "print"
- you only need to define the function, you don't need to also call it

2,957 PointsHey Steven--thank you for the hints. I still can't get it to work. Can you help me write this code?
def loopy(items): if items == "STOP": break print(items)

231,236 PointsThat looks like the correct order but it's hard to be sure without seeing the indentation. Use the instructions for code formatting in the Markdown Cheatsheet pop-up below the "Add an Answer" area. Or watch this video on code formatting.
