Can you help??

The question is { On line 5 of app.js, use the classList property on the anchor to add a new class of "selected" to it. }

I don't understand how can I use the add() method on the anchor.

app.js
var anchor = document.querySelector("a");

//Add the class to the classList "selected"

  anchor.classList.contains("selected"));

//Toggle the class "live"
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>

  <a href="#">Home</a>

  <script src="app.js"></script>

</body>
</html>

So first, I have to admit you are very close! The first task is asking you to ADD the "selected" class to the anchor, not to see if there is the selected class already. For the second task, you should toggle the "live" class. The complete code:

var anchor = document.querySelector("a");

//Add the class to the classList "selected"

anchor.classList.add("selected");

//Toggle the class "live"

anchor.classList.toggle("live");

Hope it helps! ~xela888

Instead of classList.contains, you have to use anchor.classList.add("selected"));
