2,069 PointsCan someone please tell me why my code doesn't work...?
I wonder what I've done wrong because I can't find the error...
class Point {
var x: Int
var y: Int
init(x: Int, y: Int){
self.x = x
self.y = y
}
}
class Machine {
var location: Point
init() {
self.location = Point(x: 0, y: 0)
}
func move(direction: String) {
print("Do nothing! I'm a machine!")
}
}
// Enter your code below
class Robot: Machine{
override func move(direction: String){
switch direction{
case "Up": location.y ++
case "Down": location.y --
case "Left": location.x --
case "Right": location.x ++
default: break
}
}
}

14,575 PointsHello:
You have a very very simple and easy to fix mistake. It's very easy to overlook at these things when you are a beginner on a particular language.
All you have to do to fix your code is delete the spaces...
// Enter your code below
class Robot: Machine{
override func move(direction: String){
switch direction{
case "Up": location.y ++ // Delete these spaces, should be location.y++
case "Down": location.y --
case "Left": location.x --
case "Right": location.x ++
default: break
}
}
}
Good luck.
