Hi there, I am a JavaScript student so it might seem a little weird that I am asking a design question but I need some help. I am trying to make a simple logo for my sandbox website (called kaufdrop) and I don't like the way it looks. Because I am in the JavaScript tech degree I A) Can't afford Illustrator and B) Can't spare the time to watch the 7 hour Illustrator Basics course. I don't need a great logo but I would like a nice basic one. kaufdrop.com/logo has my basic logo design that I made using Google Drawings. If someone can please take a look and give me some constructive criticism/tips that would be extremely appreciated! Thanks in advance!

43,141 PointsHey Zach. Love the idea of merging the two letters together. I agree with Dalton about having no background as it makes the logo more flexible (i.e. you can put the logo on a colour Nav bar etc).
I see what you mean about the Lopsided effect. I would try using a different font with less height and make sure both letters are the same width.
Ive tried my own rendition of your logo to experiment to get rid of the lopsided effect. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7XwGLweh0ZDM3NmNVRsNlZVX3c
In terms of colour, I would use a feature colour then maybe black and white to contrast it.
Overall I think its a great logo!!!

1,463 PointsThanks a ton for making your own renditions and for taking a look at the logo in the first place. I'll definitely not have a background color and I am experimenting with the height and width of the letters. Thanks again I really appreciate it!
