i've triend this :

navigationLinks = document.querySelectorAll('nav'); and this

navigationLinks = document.getElementById('nav ul');

it wont work

The class "selected" only exists on one of the links, but the challenge wants you to select "all links inside the <nav> element".

Using the same function, you could meet the challenge by creating a descendant selector that combines the two tag names mentioned.

You were getting close with that first one. But it was selecting the "nav" itself and you want to select the "links inside the <nav> ...". You can do that with a descendant selector.

Your second example has a descendant selector, but it was passed to the wrong method. Plus links are implemented with anchor ("a") elements (not "ul").
