591 PointsCan I go through the Design courses as an "advanced beginner/intermediate" as opposed to an absolute beginner?
I already know the basics - I want to get to the next step. Can I skip ahead in the course without re-learning the absolute basics? Or will my progress in the track show as incomplete? Thanks.

12,446 PointsIt doesn't take very long to finish all of the design courses if you already know the answers. I took the courses by getting to the quizzes and anything I didn't know already I would learn via backtracking and watching the videos.
They clearly cannot be entirely comprehensive (people practice design for decades and still learn things) but are a good overview with some practice and history thrown in.
They also cannot be overly critical of end results, and focus mostly on planning and strategy versus any meaningful critique of output... but you can always post your designs to the forums for that feedback.

10,683 PointsI suggest going through the courses for review purposes. I've been a designer for s couple of decades, and I found a few gems along the way. It was good review for me, and afterwards I felt like I was current with best practices.

5,708 PointsHi Tara,
You can skip ahead. Skipping to the next step will mean your progress in the track will show as incomplete.
