I thought it could work, but don't know what to put in index().
def just_right(str):
if str.index( ) < 4:
return("Your string is too short")
elif str.index( ) > 4:
return("Your string is too long")
else:
return True

I think that this is what you are looking for. The following code would be a better way of doing it, though.

if len(str) < 4:
return("Your string is too short")
elif len(str) > 4:
return("Your string is too long")
else:
return True
