1,111 Pointscan explain more about public and private?
i understand the difference between public and private, but why do we need private? is this a way to prevent hacker from modifying our code? why don't we just use public? so we can easily retrieve data and shorten those code without creating a method to get them

28,694 PointsThe less open a class is, the less other classes can reach into it. A small public interface for a class simplifies access to that class, while ensuring that values in that class are not exposed and able to be put into an inconsistent state. The relevant concepts are information-hiding, encapsulation and coupling.
