That is another constructor you can use to make a new object, in this case mSpaceship. It accepts a string as a parameter which will set the type.
You can use it like so:
Spaceship mSpaceship = new Spaceship("FIREFLY");
Your method of changing the type after you have created mSpaceship will not work because the mType variable is private. You cannot access it directly from the object (only through methods).
