680 PointsBoolean method
I am having a hard time understanding how to construct this Boolean method. Can someone help me?
public class ScrabblePlayer {
private String mHand;
public ScrabblePlayer() {
mHand = "";
}
public String getHand() {
return mHand;
}
public void addTile(char tile) {
// Adds the tile to the hand of the player
mHand += tile;
}
public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
if (mHand.hasTile ()) {
return true;
}
else {
return false;
}
}
}

96 PointsYou're trying to call the method in it's own declaration. You can make it quite simple with if:
if (mHand.indexOf(tile) >= 0) {
//checks if the char tile is contained in the String. if the value is above -1 then it is and returns true
return true;
} else { // otherwise it returns false
return false;
}
