feel that I'm missing some connection between admitted and age, which is why when I say True it doesn't recognise it?
admitted = None
age = 14
if age >= 13:
print (True)

1,568 PointsYou should not print true. You should just set the value of the boolean variable admitted to True,Like this :
admitted = None
age;
if age>=13:
admitted=True
else:
admitted=False
