Bizarre error

i kept getting this weird error which i couldn't fix

./Prompter.java:36: error: ')' expected
mGame.getRemainingTries();
^
./Prompter.java:37: error: ';' expected
mGame.getCurrentProgress());
^

Can you post your code? From those errors alone, all I can see is that you might have forgotten or added a unnecessary parantheses and semi colon

Hey Christopher,

Just as I suspected, you have a unnecessary semicolon. Instead of this:

public void displayProgress() {
  System.out.printf("You have %d tries left to solve: %s\n",
                     mGame.getRemainingTries(); //semi colon shouldn't be here
                     mGame.getCurrentProgress());

  }

it should be this:

public void displayProgress() {
  System.out.printf("You have %d tries left to solve: %s\n",
                     mGame.getRemainingTries(), //comma to separate the methods
                     mGame.getCurrentProgress());

  }
