28,726 Pointsbezier handles do not show up like in the video for Adobe CC. How do I make them show?
- select ellipse
- make ellipse
- press A
- There are little squares that show up on the ellipse itself, but not the handles like outlined in the video.
How do I make them show or does something different need to happen with this version?

22,025 PointsShould show up if you select "A" for Direct Selection Tool and click on a path point. If you don't see any paths outlines you might have Edges Hidden (View > Hide Edges). If you have a curved shape (i.e. an ellipse you should see paths and anchor points. If the path does not have any curves (i.e. it's a square) click on a point with the Anchor Point Tool (Shift + C) and drag.

13,975 PointsHello Benjamin,
In step three of your process, pressing the a
key will activate the selection tool, whereas what you are wanting is the direct selection tool, which can be reached using shift-a
or by long-clicking the selection tool and choosing direct selection.
I just fired up Photoshop CC 2014, and was able to access the bezier curve handles.
I hope this helps.

Courses Plus Student 14,085 PointsHi Benjamin,
I was stuck on this a few days ago too. I think there's an additional step in Adobe CC which is:
- double-click on the anchor point (those little squares on the ellipse path).
This made the bezier handles appear for me.

16,957 PointsI'm having the same issue photoshop cc on windows 7 and none of the suggestions are working. When I click on the few squares that do show up, the options menu is popping up and asking me to enter height and width for a new eclipse.

Also ensure that you have the Direct Selection Tool selected and not the Path Selection Tool.
