9,127 PointsBest way to start selling websites?
I have come to the point where I can do basic HTML/CSS/Javascript, but I'm having a hard time putting it all together to create a website exactly the way I want.
I recently took a Wordpress class and it seems that might be a route to get started freelancing. Customizing existing themes seems to let me use the skills I do have and also build to eventually be able to do most of coding myself.
If someone can automatically tell which wordpress theme you're using is that a bad thing? I guess what I'm trying to get at is if my sites are basic themes with edits is that a reasonable enough skill to have to start selling my services?

7,245 PointsThere are a few avenues you can do. One is using a site like themeforeset.net where you can create themes wordpress/drupal etc... and put them up for sale for people to buy. a single theme sells for $40-$50US and some can sell to many individuals so they can add up over time.

1,822 PointsYeah I think you could make some decent money and charge a reasonable price. I know a kid who did something similar where I live. He charged $500 for his services. He was a little bit more knowledgable with his programming. If I were you I would charge $100 at the start and when you get more comfortable with the programming I would start charging more and more.
