a list has no join method.. This is why the challenge id failing. Please try this which I hope will point you into the right direction
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes=available.split(";")
menu="Our available flavors are:{}"
display_menu="Our available flavors are:{}".format(sundaes)
print(display_menu)
print(type(sundaes))
note how sundaes is already a list
Our available flavors are:['banana split', 'hot fudge', 'cherry', 'malted', 'black and white']
<class 'list'>
