Brand new to computers, I began my Treehouse journey by taking the Digital Literacy Track. I was expecting it to be a broad-spectrum tour of all things computer; but it seems rather to have an exclusively Front-End focus, giving us tours of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Does Treehouse offer a track that gives the same, general landscape of Back-End functions and languages? That's really where my passion lies, and before picking any, one specific language, it'd be nice to get a feel for all of them.

231,198 PointsI don't think you'll find the same quick overviews for back-end technologies as the Digital Literacy course provided for the front end. But if you're ready for the real nuts-and-bolts of the back end, there's plenty here for you.
There's a track for Ruby, and for Rails, and PHP - all well-establlished back-end languages. And there's also the more recent Python. And what was once primarily a front-end language but is now beginning to be used more and more for back-end is well covered by Full Stack Javascript.
Enjoy the journey.
