3,372 PointsUnfortunately I'm not sure if you are asking what a back end language is, or whether you want some examples. I've put both.
Put simply, back end languages are programming languages that work 'behind the scenes' to add functionality to a website. If front end is everything you see and interact with, back end is what makes everything work when you click that 'login' button, or that 'post' button. That's the basic way of explaining it.
Some examples of back end languages include Python, Ruby, JavaScript (using Node.js) and C#.
