At 4:08 of video, Nick said the width and height of 20px is about half the size of the actual 40px size of icons. How

How did Nick determine the actual pixel size of the social media icons? Since we edited our images to 60x60, is it not that 60px is the size of our image social media icons and not 40px? I'm sure Nick is right, but I just do not know a lot about images/photo sizes, that's why I can't follow through yet when he said that our logo icon images is about 40px.

Hey web pad, It's normal to use an image with double the size in pixels of what we really need. That practice became popular when Apple launched their Retina displays (that made a lot of our images look less sharp). Since Nick was using 20x20px in his layout he must have assumed that the original images were the double of that. Don't worry though extra pixels are usually nice and you're not missing anything regarding image sizing.
