Craig is not telling us if we are supposed to be using the workspace? I've no idea whether or not I should be working alongside the video?

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 20,417 PointsDefinitely work along in workspaces, you can use your own IDE if you prefer although that’s covered in a separate track. Using workspaces will help you learn as unlike most IDEs it won’t indicate if your code is wrong. Some argue with this way of learning, yet in the real world in most job interviews you’ll be required to write code on a whiteboard or other non-technical source.

I would recommend to follow the videos by using either the workspace, or your own text editor. It will help you out as you will be working along, instead of just listening on what he says. Practise is the best way to understand and remember. Even for the smallest thing. I usually use my own (but this is my own preference), as I have them all saved and organised on my computer.
