General Discussion

Are the Treehouse "Beginning Swift" and "Intermediate Swift" courses being replaced (to be retired May 31, 2020)?

Hi, It appears that the "Beginning Swift" and "Intermediate Swift" courses are marked for retirement on May 31, 2020.

Is this still the case? If yes, will there be replacement courses?

Thanks,

Rod

I saw an entry by someone while I was madly going through the swift and ios tracks in May, before they shut them off. The entry is probably not recoverable, because I think it was in the questions section of one of the courses. The courses themselves were pretty good stuff, although they needed to be updated (but what doesn't as soon as it's come out?). Whoever it was said that Treehouse was getting away from mobile development to focus on web development, if I remember correctly. I know they had a bunch of layoffs in 2019, including the Swift/iOS instructor Pasan Premaratne (who was one of my favorite instructors). I don't think there will be either ios or swift any time soon at Treehouse, but there are many other interesting paths!
