I always see, "expert at HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript" listed in a job posting for front end web developers. I'm not sure what would make someone an "expert" in these three languages. I would be the first to admit that I do not consider myself an expert, but I feel as though I have a good grasp of these languages. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge of what besides css frameworks and JavaScript libraries is a must know?

Treehouse Project ReviewerI am pretty sure that if you have a solid grasp of everything in the Front End Develoepr track you will have everything covered.

7,665 PointsI'm in a similar position Dino- about 3/4 of the way through the Front-End track and have been feeling reasonably good about my progress. Then as soon as I start looking at job descriptions the amount/types of tech required seem to proliferate (experience of React/Angular/millionOtherThings) and it's a bit of a knock. Hope you find something that's right for you!

Treehouse Project ReviewerI have read, and even made couple forums threads about this exact thing. Seeing a huge list of skills as requirements. The every single reply to every thread on reddit, or wherever said that it isn't real. they just list the tech stack they use and hope for the best. Or it is the HR person making the job ad and they throw in every tech buzz word there is. Still just apply.

26,327 PointsHi Dino, I'll admit, I was intimidated by that at first, but applied anyway and was hired by a company. You don't have to know everything to get a job at one of these companies. You can continue to improve your skills and show them you're willing to learn as well, they would love to have you on their team.
