Has anyone completed this degree program? Do you feel like it has given you a good foundation to get a Full time role in a related field or just do freelance work on your own?

Python Web Development Techdegree Student 8,587 Pointswould doing the front-end web dev track before doing the full-stack JavaScript techdegree be helpful in learning/progressing or a hindrance to the degree & getting a job?
Mason Embry
Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Graduate 31,420 PointsIt would definitely not be a hindrance. It would be helpful for sure if you have the time and money to do both. If you have to pick one do Full Stack. If you can do both, do both!

6,514 PointsHi Mason,
Congratulations on finishing the entire course.. a slightly odd question but we each have our motivational factors. How many points do you now hold in JavaScript?
Kind Regards

18,094 PointsAfter 32 days of hardcore studying, I will be completing the Fullstack Javascript track today! I am on the last course of "Javascript Unit Testing".
I feel like I have indeed learned a LOT of valuable skills which will make me a much better candidate when applying for jobs in the industry.
Prior to taking this track, I had 3 years of experience in building custom HTML/CSS websites (knowledge which I acquired through 2 years of college studies at a total cost of $19,000+), but this was apparently not enough to land a job as a developer.
Just one piece of advise: NEVER GIVE UP! Keep studying, there's always an opportunity waiting for those who persist.

18,094 PointsI must say though... I am a bit dissapointed with the completion of the "track". I would have expected some kind of big badge, like the ones they give you each time you complete a session - but NADA. Just a "congratulations" for completing the track. I would have expected a nice badge to display on social media. Oh well, at least it was a good learning experience!

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 6,436 PointsEy Mason, what about the exam questions... would you say the level of those questions is same, higher or much higher than the quizzies that we we are given throught the course?
Mason Embry
Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Graduate 31,420 PointsFrom what I recall they are about the same to slightly higher. Brush up on variable scope. Those questions tripped me up. Var is not block scoped.

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 6,436 PointsThanks Mason! yeah, variable scope is something we need to know very well... thanks again!
