Any chance "SASS" will replace ''JAVASCRIPT'' in the future?

I find SASS bears very amazing features relating to programming. Can it evolve to replace javascript ? or become a programming language all by itself?

Hi there, Nafis! No, Sass will never replace JavaScript. Sass was developed to be an extension to CSS and produce CSS files. CSS is primarily concerned with styling elements of the DOM.

JavaScript, on the other hand, can do many things that CSS cannot do. Sure, JavaScript can apply styles to a page on the fly based on user preferences etc. But it also works as a backend language answering http requests, redirecting pages, authorizing users, accessing databases and more.

Also, on a side note, in contradiction to what was stated above, Sass was originally written in Ruby. You might consider checking out this video where the original developer of Sass (Hampton Catlin and Treehouse guest teacher) talk about how and why Sass was developed.

Unfortunately not cos SASS is written in Javascript. But Sass/SCSS is a powerful easy driven styling tool.

SASS is written in Ruby. Not Javascript.
