Hi Everyone. So I have a client with 2 location but only one site. They have 2 domains though with a city name in it. Should they just 301 redirect so the homepage of the main location if this landing page clearly serves both locations. Do you think google is not going to be crazy about this.
We are creating Yelp pages for each location with the right domain.

6,649 PointsIt depends. If you're talking about a small/medium sized business that doesn't sell multipl e tens of millions of dollar in merchandise, I'd just redirect businessLocationA.com's domain to businessLocationB.com.
Otherwise, you'd have to maintain two separate homepages; which means either a whole lot more work for you or double content and likely lower ranking by Google. I'd focus more on the traditional SEO points, i.e. no dead links, recent content, using relevant keywords etc.
