UX Design Techdegree Student 607 PointsAm sorry but from what data or research did the team manage to come up with the persona of Sarah?
Is this just who they think the type of customer that would attend emmacon or is this from some research ? I didn't get it from the video

UX Design Techdegree Student 607 Pointsafter further research from a few other sites, the persona comes from research data that is taken. Using reviews of the product or service to find customers that are currently using. other methods maybe surveys interviews and past research done by the marketing team.

UX Design Techdegree Graduate 23,599 PointsAt the start of the previous tutorial, Data Collection, Devin explains 3 ways that data can be collected. Around 1:40 he mentions interviews or the use of assumptions. The problem I have with making assumptions is that cognitive bias may occur.

72 PointsWhat if you have no team? How do you do this process on your own?
Daniel Montgomery
Treehouse StaffHey Maria, You would make these assumptions with whatever evidence/data was available on your own and validate them through methods such as user interviewing and user testing later on.
