Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 8,278 Pointsam I missing something here
I really don't know if I'm missing something I tried return tiles.indexOf(tile) >=0 and I get syntax error
public class ScrabblePlayer {
// A String representing all of the tiles that this player has
private String tiles;
public ScrabblePlayer() {
tiles = "";
}
public String getTiles() {
return tiles;
}
public void addTile(char tile) {
// TODO: Add the tile to tiles
tiles+= tile;
}
public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
// TODO: Determine if user has the tile passed in
if( tiles.indexOf(tile) >= 0){
return true;
}else{
return false;
}
}
}

Courses Plus Student 10,188 PointsSo two things.
You can technically do the task with an if statement but it won't be accepted by the challenge.
You must return something for the method. Try this instead:
public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
// TODO: Determine if user has the tile passed in
boolean trueTile = tiles.indexOf(tile) >= 0;
return trueTile;
}
Hope I helped and hope it makes sense. :)
