Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype String Equality

Always showing an error, got no clue

So I followed the instructions as told , but then i get an error , any help ?

Equality.java
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console. 
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

if (firstExample.equals(secondExample)) {
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
}
else if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)) {
  console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}

The instructions asked you to add another if statement. You have added an else if statement. Those are not the same thing, else if statements will only run if the if statement they are attached to does not run. If you change the else if to an if statement like this:

// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console. 
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

if (firstExample.equals(secondExample)) {
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
}
if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)) {
  console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}

Then your code will pass.

Thank you, I just forget that I'm using java and not javascript lol.
