What are some good, free alternatives to Adobe XD on Linux? Are .xd files compatible with other programs so that I can use the project files for these videos?

Treehouse StaffHey there Gerhard,
I'm not a Linux user myself but it sounds like Figma would be a good option for you as they have an app and in-browser web app version. I also saw it on this list which is a good resource for finding Linux compatible programs: https://alternativeto.net/software/adobe-experience-design-cc/?platform=linux

20,524 PointsThere is a project for an open source alternative in early development – Akira. You can download and have a play already, but it is a long way off ready for prime time.
In the meantime your best option would be an online service. I’ve used Figma in an enterprise environment. Web apps are often the level playing field for software in a professional environment. ;-)
If you are after an ‘on computer’ you could always buy something like Amir Khella’s Keynotopia. It lets you utilise your presentation software create prototypes. Should work with Libre Office.
