UX Design Techdegree Graduate 17,697 PointsRv - You cannot select objects with the Ellipse tool, you can only draw ellipses. Once you are done drawing, select the Selection Tool (topmost tool in the toolbar) and click the first ellipse. Hold Shift and select all the other elements you wish to align.

Courses Plus Student 2,265 PointsTo align shapes, make sure the "Align" window is open ("Windows" > "Align"). Then, make sure in the bottom right of the "Align" window, you have "To Selection" chosen for "Align To:" if you want to just align the selected objects or "To Artboard" if you want to align to the artboard. Then under the "Align Objects" section choose "Right", "Center", "Left", "Top", "Middle", or "Bottom".
