Alarm clock bell alignment

For the Sketch program 8:44 seconds into the Layer Styling video.

You copy the first circle, by duplicating with the guides (I assume opt+shift+click and drag). Then you know how far to move it to the right because a line pops up indicating it is equidistant. That guide never appears for me! How do I get them to be equal without counting the pixels?

Hi Houston,

I'm not sure what video you're following. But I assume you're in Illustrator. It sounds like you need to turn your smart guides on. These are the helpful lines that pop up when you're moving things around the art board. To activate them, just go to View > Smart Guides.

A link here on rulers, guides, and grids - https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/rulers-grids-guides-crop-marks.html#smart_guides.

All the best,

Ede

Sorry I added this under the Sketch tutorial video. I will update the question.

Ah, OK. I've never used Sketch but it's likely to be something similar.

From this link - https://www.sketchapp.com/support/documentation/10-canvas/2-rulers-guides-grids.html - it suggests you go to View > Canvas > Show Smart Guides.

Hope that helps,

Ede

They are already on, just appearing inconsistently, thank you for the suggestions however.
