If you're nothing like me, then you should take the Courses. Lol.
By this I mean that I am by no means artistic and don't have that kind of creativity within me. I write, and with words I can create masterpieces, but have never been able to grasp the 'graphic' side of the creative spectrum. I did take the course because I found the concepts very interesting, and if I had the ability for graphic design (which I feel Game Dev is a whole lot of), I would have absolutely been able to move on and benefit from the courses on my own.
Nick Pettit is an Amazing instructor and takes you step-by-step through every process. If Game Dev is something you want to pursue, I do highly recommend going though Nick's courses. I think you will find them interesting, informative, and very useful in your pursuit.
I hope I provided some insight.
Keep Coding! :)
