A friend of mine has expressed some interest in learning to code and I'm not sure if I should encourage him to do so. He has a liberal arts degree and is currently unemployed. Do you think it'd be a good idea for him to spend some time learning to code to get coding-related work at some point, or should he focus on finding work that doesn't require learning anything beforehand?
I'm not sure what I should say.

23,622 PointsI reckon he should give it a go, and if he enjoys the coding experience then absolutely continue learning and hopefully getting a code related job. As you might know, Treehouse would be a great place for him to start, maybe start with the free trial and then if it is something he wants to continue then he can continue using Treehouse.
