Hello,
I would like to ask if it is possible to use brushes on traced images. I traced an image and for some reason I am not able to use any brush. I have a crossed out circle as a cursor when brush tool is selected. I don't really know where the problem is.
Thank you in advance for your help!

5,993 PointsOnce you trace an object, you need to expand it (go to object, expand and make sure "fill" and "stroke" options are checked). This will allow you to customize the art by moving paths, adjusting curves and line segments. You should then be able to apply brushes to it.

5,984 PointsI doubt it has anything to do with the traced image itself. Make sure that you don't have any layers locked and that you're not trying to paint on an invisible layer. Additionally if your fill color is set to transparent it will not let you paint with a brush. Hope that helps!
