27,969 PointsAdobe dropping Fireworks!
I have just read that Adobe will be phasing out Fireworks. I use this program everyday and I'm not sure what I'll do without it.
Do people think this is the right decision?

5,536 Pointsi personally never use fireworks - just photoshop and illustrator. Im just going through the new illustrator deep dive also and finding it useful - learning some stuff straight away (as an ex pro photographer Ive always lent towards PS for any design stuff anyway)

47,348 PointsNo, I think they made the wrong decision. They now have no application for designing websites. And no, Photoshop is not a replacement. Photoshop is meant for manipulating photos. It's just too bloated and cumbersome for designing websites. My advice is to learn Bohemian Sketch. It's the natural successor to Fireworks and costs a fraction of what Ps does.
