681 PointsAdding values in an Array
Hello, I don't understand how to add the values in the array. I know that the code arrayName.reduce(0. +) will add the values in an array but I'm sure that's not what this question is asking. Maybe I don't understand the question. Can anyone help me? Thanks
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0
// Enter your code below
while counter < numbers.count {
counter += 1
}

7,684 PointsHi Morris, this stuff was challenging for me at first also. This is how to sequentially add values inside an array:
let numbers = [10, 20, 30] var sum = 0 var counter = 0
while counter < numbers.count { sum += numbers[counter] counter += 1 }
// Besides the obvious while statement and counter += 1, this basically says "Add the value at position counter (0) inside numbers to the sum variable.
Hope this helps :)

681 PointsThanks Elliot, that works. I'm still getting used to type of thinking required to understand and learn coding. Truly appreciate your help.
