Right now I am loving the Business track and learning a ton but I feel like personally I would get a lot more out of it if there was a section about non profits or research. Maybe I will find something similar later in the track but up till now it seems to assume I will fund myself, be selling a service, or have investors.
I would like to learn how to get grants for scientific research and development or set up a charity or nonprofit. Any resources on these subjects would be much appreciated.

4,315 PointsHi Ricky, I think that you're spot on here. I actually started and ran a design and development cooperative from Treehouse, and when I sold out of the business Treehouse was just starting to get into the business side of things. I think some more progressive business models and theories would be a great addition, but it certainly does take away from the core of how this company started - but so do the business tracks. Cross your fingers...

13,023 PointsI never thought I would get a reply! I am doing some scientific work concerning technology and I have no idea how to fundraise for it because I have no product to sell just research and development to do. I know its against the original idea of the site but since so many freelancers get their start working for nonprofits doing free work it would (kinda...) fit.
