About install things with pip

This is a quite general question about Flask.

I notice that we need to install something like flask-login with pip.

My question is when we try to deploy our website to the server, do we need to install those packages on the server. Is that too complicated? Because we need to remember what we have installed, otherwise it cannot work.

Pip works for you to solve this. The command pip freeze will output a list of modules installed. It is typically saved in a file:

$ pip freeze > requirements.txt

Then on the deployed server, you can type: pip -r requirements.txt to install all the same modules.
